About Craftizen Foundation

Craftizen Foundation was founded in 2014 with a vision to preserve and evolve Indian craft skills so they remain an integral part of our cultural fabric. We focus on craft-based skill development & income enhancement, coupled with strategic interventions and business acumen support to enable sustainable livelihoods for traditional artisans as well as marginalized communities. Through our programs, we have benefitted over 1,000 persons from socio-economically underprivileged and disadvantaged sections of society including persons with an intellectual and physical disability, women rescued from a life of trafficking and abuse, and rural women and youth with limited avenues to earn a sustained source of income. We work with a diverse range of craft skills including hand block and screen printing, Kantha stitch, jewelry from Bena grass; Banjara and Aari embroidery, tailoring, fabric painting; upcycled products from used flowers, newspapers, flex banners, silk threads, and fabric waste.
